Free Tickets for Kids at 2013 Riverssance

It's not too late to get free admission for children in kindergarten through 4th grade for the Renaissance festival in Sioux City. Just download and print the following images for your children to color. They can bring their colored pages to the Kingdom of Riverssance at Riverside park in exchange for free admission. All of the pages were drawn by Klaire Pearson, author and illustrator of Hannah the Henna Helper.

The Renaissance fair is a lot of fun because there are so many shows going on all day both Saturday and Sunday, October 5th and 6th.

The belly dance area will feature 5 difference Middle Eastern dance troupes, there will also be drumming, and henna tattoos! Henna tattoos are a traditional type of temporary tattoos that originates from the Middle East and India. They're often done on the hands, they can last a week or two, and they're very beautiful. All of the dancing demonstrated will be family friendly.

The American Rogues are an awesome Celtic band. They are fantastic musicians and play a variety of instruments, including bagpipes. You'll want to get up and dance during these shows! They are scheduled to play on Saturday at 1:00, 3:00, and 5:00 pm. On Sunday, they are playing at 11:00, 1:00, and 3:00 pm.

There will also be many other types of entertainment at the Kingdom of Riverssance. There will be knights, singers, and magicians! There will also be shopping and a lot of good food to eat. This will be a fun and affordable way to spend the weekend in Siouxland with the entire family.
